  2. 1.) The roles of women in the plays of William Shakespeare is that woman’s main function was to serve in the home. They are also used to oppose the values of a masculine world.
Yes, Shakespeare has anti-feminist view of women because mostly of his works is the cause of the men’s death or their weakness was the women.

2.) The success of Shakespeare’s works helped to set the precedent for the evolution of modern dramas and plays. He is also credited with being one of the first writers to use any modern prose in his writings; in fact, the growth of the popularity of prose in Shakespeare’s time is clearly shown as he used prose progressively more throughout his career.

3.) The lesson that can be reflected from the Story of Keesh is that don’t be selfish and also share what you have specially to other people because many of them are starving because they have nothing to eat and you should give equal parts to other people so that all of you will not have a sufficient or deficient amount of food and so that everyone can have something to eat.
You should also not also judge other people just by their appearance because you don’t know what they could do like when they judge Keesh by his appearance, they didn’t know what he is capable of that’s why they judge him but Keesh prove to them that they are wrong by killing a mother bear in his journey and bring it to their home and share it to other people equally so that everyone could have their part.

  3. 1. There is a saying that “Women in her greatest perfection was made to serve and obey man.” Mostly, the roles of women in Shakespeare plays were they appear as a central character or maybe they are one of the supporting characters. Actually, there are a lot of types of female characters. Women in Shakespeare plays have always important roles. Sometimes they create main conflicts but some of them were underestimated. From the point of view of William Shakespeare, women are very important in a way that they have an important role. Maybe it’s the leading role. The one who gives an expression to the audience. He also believed that women were an inferior to a man. He was able to understand their feelings. I can say that William Shakespeare is not an anti-feminist because he was a liberal person when it comes to women especially in his play.

    2. William Shakespeare created a new period in the literature. He made many contributions to our world literature. He was the one who affects us, people, in our everyday life especially in his contribution to English language. Shakespeare expressed his ideas in the most realistic way. When it comes to his work, Shakespeare had been a major influence on ensuing a play. His plays have become popular throughout the world because of his realistic characters. Some of the characters of Shakespeare were not constant. They change in the course of action. The readers of Shakespeare’s work were able to understand his language because it was elaborated clearly. I can say that William Shakespeare had a great influence on the English literature as well as the English language. All of his works were known for its beautiful language and the themes that his literature portrays, human conditions that made him more acclaimed than any of his contemporaries. William Shakespeare is such a great writer wherein many people discovered new ideas and moral lessons that they can use in their everyday life. Shakespeare was able to understand the way people think and feel. The plays of William Shakespeare do not grow old with time because up to now, some people considered his plays the best.

    3. The story of Keesh is a short story written by Jack London. It was first published on January of 1904. This story is all about a poor boy, Keesh, who became a leader in a village named Igloo. He was the son of a great huntsman who was well known and respected in their tribe. Unluckily, his father, Bok, died in the time of famine because of saving the lives of his people by taking the life of a great polar bear. Because of this, Keesh declared that he would honor his father’s memory and became a great hunter. However, as years passed by, the legendary exploits of Keesh’s father was forgotten in time. Keesh did everything to prove to the community that he was able to hunt and Keesh wants them to realize what his father had done to save them. There are a lot of hindrances to Keesh and his mother. At first, the people did not believe him when he went on a hunt and brought a fresh meat. They thought that Keesh was using a magic to get this meat. But the people in the community believed him when he explained his side. Because of this, he was able to prove to the people that his father has become the savior of that village. The moral lesson of this story gave the readers an impact. We should not forget the sacrifice of one person and we should appreciate it even the little ones. We should know how to treat people equally and we should not be greedy. Also, we should not have a bad preconceived opinion towards each other.

  4. 1.) Shakespeare has given different roles for every woman in each play. Such as Juliet (Romeo & Juliet) is described as an innocent woman who experienced a tragic loss in love and end in killing herself brutally; Lady Macbeth (Macbeth) is described as a devilish woman who scheme and manipulated her husband to accomplish her ambition of becoming a queen that leads of her being insane and committing suicide; Desdemona (Othello) is described as a women full of honesty and direct yet she was falsely accused of being unfaithful to her husband and suffered in her husband’s judgment of killing her. In my own view, I assume that Shakespeare’s idea of giving each women an unhappy ending shows that he is an anti-feminist, It might be because by that time the ruler of England is a woman, Queen Elizabeth which makes men insecure with the power behold of a woman.
2.) Shakespeare is called Bard of Avon because he is considered to be the greatest poet that ever lived, which makes him and his works the most influential contributions to the English Literature and as well to the World. The uniqueness of his works inspired a lot of writers and touched the inner emotions of every reader worldwide. In some of his works, words that came from him helps the English Language in expanding its vocabulary and making English as the most used language in communicating.
3.) There are several lessons that can be reflected from the Story of Keesh. First, there are some people who choose to be selfless to help other people’s need; they choose to put the safety of others before their own safety just like what Bok did. Second, there will always be a part in our life where other people will brings us down, under estimate our strength, discourage us on the things we can do and provoke us, but we must stand up tall and put in our mind that no one can let us down and just continue and prove them that we can do it. Same with what Keesh proved to the chief of his village. And last, in life the difficult task given to us can be done by thinking of some clever ideas that can help us make our work easier, which is reflected from the revealing of the mystery in the story on how do Bok and Keesh killed many large bears to give and feed to their villagers.

  6. 1. Well, no. We can’t call Shakespeare a feminist, because the concept didn’t exist in his lifetime, or for approximately three hundred years following his death.
But still, we are often drawn to viewing Shakespeare’s women from a modern angle. Why? Well, partly, because many of them don’t seem to conform to the social and gender conventions of their own eras.
The role of the woman characters are usually evil and we can't actually see their perspective and sides .

    2. Shakespeare made many contributions to World Literature and one of the ones that affects us every day is his contribution to the English language.
Scholars point out that Shakespeare is responsible for coining about 1,700 of the English words found in our 25,000 word-long English vocabulary.

    3. The theme of this short story is the sacrifice which is forgotten. Keesh tries to prove that his father has become the savior for his community. He comes again to make the society aware that they have to appreciate every sacrifice of the person. We can derive some moral values of this story such as we have to appreciate the sacrifice of a person and we should not have bad prejudice towards each other.

  7. 1.) The women in the plays of William Shakespeare showed us different roles in life. He had given every female character in his plays different characteristics. Juliet was passionate in expressing her feelings in the play Romeo and Juliet; In the Merchant of Venice, Shakespeare had shown that women can also fulfill the work for men; Desdemona showed that women can also be brave and stand on her own in the story of Othello. The roles of women on each of his stories gave colors and thrill in every story.

For me Shakespeare is not an anti-feminist because he gave each of the female character an important role in every story and also he'd clearly showed to us what was the position of women during their time.

2.) William Shakespeare's plays became popular throughout the world. His works are known for its beautiful language, and for its understanding of the way people think and feel. It inspired the readers of his stories, he'd opened their minds about what were the real situations back then. He also gave new idea for every generation about the interaction of man to the society.

3.) The lesson that really marked into my mind is that be who you are. In the Story of Keesh, the men judge him even though they haven't seen what he can do and keep on judging him when he have done great hunting. In this event i had realized that whatever you do you wont please all of the people. Some of them will even call you names or make bad stories about you. So for me being who you are is a great thing to do as long as you know that you're in the good side and not doing anything bad.

  10. 1.Women in the plays of the great playwright, William Shakespeare, have different roles and different personalities. Most of his women characters have a strong and powerful personality; strong and powerful mental and emotional abilities that define their characters well. For example, Portia (The Comical History of the Merchant of Venice), showed her intelligence and stood up for her friend, Antonio. Another example is Juliet (The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet), showed her eternal love and deepest affection towards Romeo even if the whole world is fighting against their love. In my opinion, William Shakespeare has an anti-feminist view. He shows equal attention, appearance and personality to each of his character whether it’s a man or a woman.

2.When it comes to World Literature, William Shakespeare is carved in every mind of the people who is reading classics and plays. His brilliant works brought us to another world where we could love like Romeo and Juliet (The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet), be mighty like Hamlet (The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark) and be prosperous like Antonio (The Comical History of the Merchant of Venice). He gave us a piece of his mind where we could explore and learn in different ways.

3.Story of Keesh is indeed a great piece. It shows bravery, pride and intelligence. The story shows how a son defended the honor of his father, how a mother showed her love for her child and how a boy grew up using his intelligence and wisdom. The story simply tells us that no matter who we are, no matter what age we have, we can still fight for what we want and stand up for what is right.

  11. 1. William Shakespeare used different kinds of women in his plays. Juliet, an innocent young heiress of the Capulet’s, and a loyal partner of Romeo. Desdemona, the faithful wife of Othello. And Lady Macbeth, the ruthless and ambitious wife of Macbeth who plotted Duncan’s murder. Each of them showed bravery and patience in dealing with the events happened in the story.

Shakespeare does not a have an anti-feminist view of women. Even though he gave protagonist roles to some women in his plays, they still have this feistiness which made them potent in some way. He made them wicked but powerful enough to take over men. Which is the opposite of what kind of normal women they have in their society during the Elizabethan era.

    2. Shakespeare can’t be called the greatest writer in English language for nothing. He wrote 37 plays and over 300 sonnets. These past few years, modern writers have changed their writing styles and schemes. Shakespeare’s works gave them ideas what “classical” really means and showed them how literature have evolved. Shakespeare also gave birth to new English words which are still being used today. By the help of his works, not only writers but everyone gained ideas of what kind of culture and society Elizabethan period have.

    3. The moral lesson of Keesh's story is that you can't judge a person instantly. A person’s personality can't be defined from what you heard from others but rather from what you see yourself. Another one is: Don't be selfish. Ugh-Gluk doesn't want to share the meat to the community. He only gave them small parts that aren’t enough even though he got a big piece. When Keesh finally returned and had a bountiful catch, the tables turned around. Selfishness will not cause any good to a person. In fact, it will make a person much worse.

  12. 1) The roles of the women in William Shakespeare's plays generally portray different types of female characters. They sometimes make the conflicts and the highlights of the play bring up an interesting and a must read literary work. Shakespeare don't have an anti-feminist view of women from his plays because even though he showed that women are overpowered by men, he had hidden a message that focused on positive attributes of women and truly captured the essence of feminity. Without women in his works won't make the events to be worthwhile and as I observed, women are sometimes put in a challenging situations in the play which makes them stronger.

    2) Shakespeare is indeed the greatest author in the English language. In fact, he had a big contribution in terms of English Language, which is seen in all of his works. He coined roughly 1,500 words out of 25,000 words in total of the English language. Shakespeare's plays became popular in the late 17th and 18th century, which helped in the standardization of the English language. His coined words made the English language colorful and expressive. Another contribution of Shakespeare was the major influence in theatre since his literary works are the world's greatest plays. Another one is the influence of Shakespeare in the large number of Writers like William Faulkner, Charles Dickens, and Thomas Hardy which inspired all of them to contribute on literature and in fact, most of their works are drawn or coined from Shakespeare's plays and themes.

    3) The lesson that could be reflected from the story of Keesh by Jack London is show what you stand for to prove to people what you believe like Keesh who proved that his father is the hero of their village. He worked hard and made the people believe him. Another one is don't be judgemental to the people you don't really know. Just like Keesh, people criticize him because they don't believe that Keesh's father Bok is the one who saved people in their village. Lastly, there are people who are being selfless just for the sake of other people or their loved ones to provide their needs. It was seen in the story when Keesh was hunting polar bears for the people in their village and started giving them meat of the bears that he cleverly hunted.

  14. For the first question, I can assume that Shakespeare has an anti-feminist view of women base from his plays. Female characters in Shakespeare's plays are more likely to be lower class. Women are never totally free in his plays. Some characters too are treated with distrust and have a questionable morals. Like Lady Macbeth who coerced her husband into murder because of greediness. Another is Gertrude in Hamlet who married her husband's brother.

Second question, Shakespeare really made many contributions. Shakespeare created some of the most admired plays. He was also cited as a big influence on a large number of writers in succeeding centuries, including William Faulkner, Herman Melville, Thomas Hardy etc. Also, one of Shakespeare's greatest contributions is the introduction of vocabulary and phrases which enriched the English language, making it more colorful and expressive.

For the third question, there are many lessons that can be reflected. First, think outside the box. Keesh change his way of hunting. He used his mind and came up with a very awesome technique. That's the reason why he became successful. Next is we must appreciate everyone's sacrifices, no matter how small or big it is. Lastly, we should not judge negatively towards other people.

  16. 1. Most of the plays of Shakespeare circulates in the general discussion of dramatic themes in which women appear to be known as the "Dark Lady" who were supporting or central characters in his plays. They influence other characters yet they were being underestimated in it. More importantly, they have always been had the significant character or sometimes the leading character. In Shakespearean plays, they often create the main conflict and they were able to bring up the moral and cultural interrogations. Women in the play sometimes put in a certain challenges that made them surpass the role of the male leading character.

Speaking of the feminism of Shakespeare, I can say that he is not into anti-feminism because he demonstrates an understanding of women's control by men, the truth about women that they are not weaker than men. In addition to that, he create characters that could be describe to be pro to feminism.

    2. William Shakespeare creates a very significant time in history of world literature. The ideas of Renaissance are being set off even the ideology of humanism are expressed in a very realistic way. The past of the English drama were being reflected in Shakespeare's works. He also influenced the English language on the English literature because his works were all well-known for its beautiful language that made us understand of the way of how people feel and think. He discovers new ideas on social problems about the relationship of every other people on the society.

    3. The Story of Keesh demonstrates act of sacrifice that is being forgotten as the time pass by. Keesh wants to bring back the honor to his father who had greatly sacrificed on his time. In this story, it tells us something that we have to appreciate the sacrifice or efforts of a person and we should not have bad prejudice towards each other.

  17. 1. The female characters play an important role in Shakespeare's plays. There are different personalities that the women portray in his plays, some of them are the main characters while the other are just supporting character. Nevertheless, they had an impact in the flow of the plays. Feminism, in my own words, is the equality between men and women, it is not an anti-men nor anti-women; it is against sexism. But I can say that Shakespeare is not an anti-feminist. He is actually a feminist who shows that although women are sometimes inferior to men, they still can stand on their own. Women are not underestimated in his plays, such as Portia and desdemona, who stood in her decision that she never cheated on her husband. The bravery and independence has been shown through some of his plays and the understanding between men and women.

    2. William Shakespeare, being the greatest writer and world's prominent dramatist surely made a big impact to the world's literature. His plays are always tattoed in everyone's mind for it has brought different realizations on us. Since then, his works influenced a lot of people from his time until our generation and it is getting more and more popular as time passes by. People have found and have been taught different moral lessons that could help in relation to Man and in everyday happenings. When it comes to the language, Shakespeare's plays are known to be written with a wider vocabulary which has influenced the English Language. William Shakespeare inspired poets, writers and the aspiring writers to continue contributing in the world's literature.

    3. There are lessons that we could get in The Story of Keesh, that will make us realize of the things a child can do and prove. What truly amazed me in this story is that, age doesn't stop Keesh from proving everyone that he could a great huntsman just like his father. Their community has forgotten the honor that his father has done for them and the sacrifices he did just to save his people. At first, people didn't believe that he was capable of hunting so he proved himself without thinking of what others would say. He didn't let them bring him down, he knew that he could do it with his faith and his mother on his side. When he has proved everyone that he could be as great as his father, he didn't leave his community behind. He never let anyone screaming for a meat because he gave enough meat for everybody equally.

  18. 1. Most women on Shakespeare's play are the main or central character of the story. They possess different and great personalities as an individual. Shakespeare is not an anti-feminist although we can overseen to his plays that men are on much higher position or they are overpower than women. Shakespeare shows that even though the men are much more higher than women, they can still stand on their own feet and can provide for themselves.

    2. William Shakespeare is one of the most prominent dramatist and greatest writer of history. Each play that he wrote is surely a big hit. He have a big contribution on literature especially in English vocabulary words. Most of his plays have a bigger impact on every generation because he gave color or art on Renaissance literature. The moral values on every play is always remembered by the countrymen.

    3. The story reveals that there is an imbalanced in our society. People on higher position gets more privilege than people with lower profiles. Keesh age doesn't matter, he see the conflict on his own society and made a very great solution even though he is still young. He proved that no matter how hard is the challenges in life we should be wiser to solve it. If you think you can help to solve the problem then do your best and believe in yourself that you can do it.

  19. 1. Women plays a big part on the plays of William Shakespeare. Some of them are arrange for a fixed marriage (Romeo and Juliet), some are doing their best to be trusted yet they are not given what did they asked for (Othello). We can't just say the William Shakespeare is an anti-feminist person. Because, just liked the play where Lady Macbeth is the one who look like controlling Macbeth. it is just the matter of our perspective even though that we all know the on the time of Shakespeare they shows an anti-feminist look. Just like in the Philippines we can't blame one another because it has been part of the culture.
    2. If we have Albert Einstein for Science, William Shakespeare showed the world what a writer can do. Romeo and Juliet one of his famous works, which is still known now in our age. He brought his characters into real life, and even brought some inspiration for other writers. Shakespeare is one of a kind.
    3. Fathers will do everything for his son, and his son will continue what his father had done. in the story of Keesh we witnessed a young man who is so proud of his father that he doesn't want everyone to forget about what his father done. The hunters are looking down on him, but we don't know what a little man can do just for his father. Not only that is the lesson it also comes on being a wise man. Not all the time strength can overcome everything we must use our brain too...

  20. Women in William Shakespeare’s plays play an important role as wives or lovers of each of their own spouses, whom which they serve and care for, in short, women are inferior to men just like any other eras. For me, Shakespeare only showed in his plays the kind of society at the Elizabethan era when he was living wherein women were not allowed to speak for themselves but their husbands speak on their behalf. Besides, these plays were not his real stories, he adopted it and made a stage play version of these stories and having these plays do not show that William Shakespeare has an anti-feminist view. Another thing is that women in Shakespeare’s plays greatly affect/influence their partners, e.g. Macbeth (Lady Macbeth was the one who encouraged Macbeth to kill Duncan to be able to have the throne), therefore, not all of his plays can show anti-feminism in them.

William Shakespeare renowned as the greatest writer in the English Literature and plawright widely influenced the world through his one of a kind works. He has influenced many writers then and now. With his works, he has inspired Charles Dickens, Herman Melvillle and many other in the European and American Literature. He was also able to help in expressing new ideas through neologizing words in the Elizabethan era together with Sir Phillip Sidney, Edmund Spenser and Christopher Marlowe. He was ale to pull out verse, poerty and drama in just a play. He also helped in the standardization of the English language with his published works. He was able to introduce new words and phrases which were widely acknowledged.

From the Story of Keesh by Jack London, we can mainly see the lesson that we must practice headcraft and not witchcraft, to apply it in our lives, we must always think or use our head in making decisions and in doing things so as to prevent or minimize mistakes. We must live a hard work to be able to attain the things that we want or our goals in life and not to do shortcuts or cheating because it would be unfair for the others. Another is using headcraft would be better, you can think of many other ways to make things and work easier for you and you can share it with others while using witchcraft will cost you nothing but a bad reputation. Another lesson we can infer from the story is that we must not judge people and to be able to justify your doubts, you must be able to see first. Remember in the story where Keesh was judged of witchcraft? That was wrong especially if we do not know a person personally and if we don’t even know what is happening to him. And remember the time Bim and Bawn followed Keesh to see what he was doing just as what was ordered to them? Just like the saying, “To see is to believe”, we can only clarify things if we are able to see the truth and nothing but the truth. They were able to understand and finally know that Keesh was not using any kind of witchcraft instead he used headcraft. Third lesson was not to forget, especially if it’s not worth it. Every single sacrifice that one does for you makes you feel touched, loved and cared for, right? This wonderful feeling makes us sometimes wanna cry to feel that someone even remembers your existence. These sacrifices are meant to be treasured as beautiful memories to strengthen relationships so everytime you look back and remember the old times, you will still smile.

  21. 1. In Shakespeare’s works, women play different characters of their own. Some had a great role in causing the conflict in the story, just like Lady Macbeth. She, being the wicked Lady, who influenced his husband to be thirsty for power, played a very big role in the story. On the other hand, Desdemona is a very loyal and loving wife to her husband in Shakespeare’s work, Othello. Portia too, being able to outwit her male counterpart, saving Antonio’s life in the comedy, The Merchant of Venice. We can’t say that Shakespeare has an anti-feminist view because form his works he was able to establish an understanding of women’s suppression by men, and made a lot of people realize that women were not necessarily weaker than men. And therefor let most of the people tend to look at Shakespeare's female characters from a feminist point of view.

    2. William Shakespeare is called the English National Poet. He is known as one of the greatest authors and is considered as the greatest dramatist of all time. Well he wouldn’t be as known as this if his works weren’t great. Everyone must know that William Shakespeare contributed a lot in the World Literature, he inspired a lot of authors and playwrights back then and until now. In the 19th century, this was the time when adoration for Shakespeare’s works was at its highest. His works were made inspirations by a lot of authors that were widely known in the World Literature. These days, his plays are highly popular and are continually studied and reinterpreted in performances.

    3. In the Story of Keesh, Keesh’s father was a huntsman who was very well known and respected, being known as the greatest hunter in their tribe. But then his father died when Keesh was still very young, and as time went by, his father’s greatness as a hunter was forgotten. Keesh proved to their tribe that one’s greatness should be appreciated and not just overlook one’s sacrifice. To that, we learned that we should appreciate a person’s sacrifice. Another is that we have to stand up to what we think is right. We should be courageous and kind just like Keesh. Keesh was courage enough to stand against his tribe and prove his skills as a hunter and he was kind enough to share what he has hunted to his whole tribe.

  22. 1. To a modern woman’s point of view, Shakespeare’s plays would be considered sexist, objectifying, and just depressing. But then again, the take on the word “feminist” was greatly different a couple of centuries ago. It’s all very subjective to what’s in the norm, or what is socially accepted. Let’s take Ophelia for example, toyed with, and treated like an object by both Claudius and Hamlet. How could someone from the 21st century accept this kind of treatment on a woman? But years, years, years ago, this was how men treated women and this was how women were treated. The females from Othello and The Merchant of Venice all similarly answer to their fathers, as if they did not have their own voice to reason out.
    2. The time of Shakespeare’s fame could be considered as a milestone in literature. He has influenced the progress and evolution of many dramas and plays, and is believed to be one of the first writers to use modern prose. Shakespeare created such a name for himself, that his English vocabulary exceeded the English dictionary, and based some of his words on his creativeness, creating new words to fit in his poems and dramas just for the effect. Shakespeare’s plays focused mostly on human nature, which is why it prevails until today, nearly 4 centuries after; his plays are still performed worldwide, and learned in schools all around the world.
    3. A fair and just man is what makes a great man. He is not just wise, he is not just strong, but he also selflessly thinks of others. He provides for himself and the rest under his protection, he does not think of only today but also tomorrow, the following weeks, the following months and how he and his family will survive.

  23. 1.The roles of the woman in william shakespeare's plays are well, they are the lovers, the spouses of the main character. And yes, William Shakespeare is anti feminist. Because you will notice in his plays that the woman causes something bad to happen to the main characters. For example, in Macbeth, where Lady Macbeth was the one who made Macbeth kill King Duncan.

2.William Shakespeare contributed a lot to the world literature. First of all, our generations got some idea from his plays. And he was the one who made the tragedy plays very famous. And he made people realize many things and through it, the people have made stories inspired by his work.

3.In the Story of Keesh. The lessons that me myself have learned is that you should always be contented of what you have. And you should discover more about the world and you yourself. And always keep in mind that there are things that can't be bought by money. Plus, happiness is very simple. As long as you have your loved ones with you, then you can be happy.

  24. In many Shakespeare plays, we know that almost of them have men as their main figures or characters. They held the authority as well as power in communities and can direct or instruct an army for example. This was shown in Othello. They’re often the more popular ones than women. But if we read the stories carefully, we’ll notice certain importance of women and what they play in the main character’s lives. They held some kind of influence to them. Although the men tried to somewhat avoid their authority, they’re still affected by it like in the story of Macbeth. There are so many interesting female characters in Shakespearean plays. Like Titania, Hermia, Helena and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Gertrude in Hamlet that showed a way of coping up with the problems. I agree that there was a constant tug of war between the genders but I can’t agree the Shakespeare has an anti-feminist view of women. I think that it’s just a coincidence that Gertrude was introduced as a weak woman who wanted status and love instead of wanting to know the truth with her husband’s death. And Ophelia was so dependent of men and thought too highly of herself that she thought someone would go insane from her rejection. There are still characters like Juliet who stood up for her love of life, Romeo. And Hermia who demonstrated respect but at the same time wants to decides what’s best for her.
As for William Shakespeare’s contributions in World Literature, we all know that he made countless of works that people still idolizes up till now. I also read that he was responsible for making at least a thousand English words that we are using in today’s time. He was one of the primary figures who made us understand the importance of literature and why we should continue creating them. His works serves as foundations for some authors who are just starting. We all know that there isn’t an author who doesn’t know Shakespeare. His work reached the hearts of people of any age. What more would you expect from greatest writer in history? And besides, he’s like the most quoted writer in history.
Now for the Story of Keesh by Jack London, there are so many lessons in the story. First was to brave and proud of what you believe in. You have every right to fight for what you believe. Even if people are against you or don’t even believe what you’re saying or what you are capable of doing, you can always prove them wrong. It’s interesting that the main character, although he was but a boy was much wiser than any of the men in his tribe. He’s used his mind and made plans to catch the bears instead of just using just strength. Another lesson was, one cannot simply forget all sacrifices of a person or all the things he did, and they must remember what that person did and value his memory. Keesh was just simply making the tribe aware of his father’s sacrifice. Last is that, we shouldn’t think badly of others. We can’t judge them for something they’re not. We shouldn’t even judge them in the first place. One must analyze the situation before even making a conclusion.

  25. HANNAH NANQUILADA:

1.) The women in every play of WIlliam Shakespeare play a very important role in any story.
He showed how powerful a women can be. How deep can a girl love. And how a woman can sacrifice anything just for the man he loves.
But, beyond this positive traits, I can say that he, Shakespeare, had an anti-feminist view of women bacause even though he created a strong and poweful
character, he also shows that a lady, can and will always be the cause of a man's downfall. Let's have Desdemona as an example from the play "Othello."
She was a very lovely, kind-hearted, and loyal wife of Othello. BUt because of the fake affair of Desdemona and Cassio, Othello, her husband, managed to kill his wife
and also took his own life.

2.)William Shakespeare is one of the greatest playwright in the English Literature. He created lots and lots of plays that does not only provide entertainment but also shows the different
colors of life. And, because of this, alot of his plays serves as an inspirational piece for alot of people.

3.)As I read the story of Keesh of Jack London, I can reflect that being small and young does not make you weak and useless. The story proves that every person, tall or small, young or old, must
be given equal chances to prove their worth and abilities. Keesh was insulted and downgraded just because he was just a small little boy, but then he proves that even though his young and small,he can still
hunt and kill wild animals. Lesson is, do notlook down on someone smaller or younger than you. Remember, height and age are just numbers. It does not define your capabilities to do such things.

  26. 1)In the plays of Shakespeare, we can see that the role of women varies. There's one that is young and innocent, then there's another that is held back from her lover because her father doesn't want him for her, thare's also one that drowned, and many other roles played by women. The thing is, all of the women in Shakespeare's plays have something to be unhappy about or ended up dying a tragic death. So, we can say that Shakespeare has an anti-feminist view, which he applies in his stories. Maybe it's because during his time, women are often lokked down upon and are considered weak and powerless- a person who doesn't have a say on anything just because they are women. He have clearly portrayed his anti-feminist view on women through the flow of his play and his characters' personality.
2)Shakespeare has indeed contributed a lot on the world of literature. As a poet and playwright, it'a great achievement to have your works preserved up to present day. His famous works, especially 'Romeo & Juliet' has been an inspiration for many playwrights and scriptwriters in our today's generation.
3)Through 'The Story of Keesh', we can learn that we shouldn't be selfish and that we should always be humble. The story tells us that our arrogance will get us nowhere; and that brain and wits can outpower physical strength and strength in numbers. Also, if we are working for several people, we should divide what we get equally.

  27. 1. As of now we have a slurry view of what feminism is. But at their time, at Shakespeare's Time. They played their roles in an equally important aspect. They showed different perspectives and what women can do and what they are capable of. It was written according to how women would be centuries ago and exactly far from women today. But the women in shakespeare's plays showed bits of how Shakespeare would be viewing life as a woman and to how a woman would think and act to a situation. Because every piece written by writers and poets are bits of their soul.

    2. Shakespeare's works had a great impact to the following centuries literature, even the literature of today. It has been an inspiration to the following poets and sonnets as of now. He has been one of the icons of the very essence of literature. His masterpieces served well and will serve well throughout the following centuries.

    3. After reading the story of Keesh, I can say that we should not judge people based on what we see from the outside. Because a young mind might contain the biggest solution of all. Do not underestimate what other people can do. People could just be hiding their capabilities and their real selves from the world. And when a person is too downgraded, wait up and you might just be surprised of what he/she can do.

  28. 1.) Shakespeare, being the literary genius that he is, he does actually have a anti-feministic point of view. He treats women as abusive, power-hungry, narrow-minded and brutal. Though, he expresses it in such a way that very unique and in a fashion that no one could actually replicate. None can cope up to what he did, frankly, he revolutionized a point of view that is anti-feministic but, also shows the strength in each woman. He shows his anti-feministic side in such a way that is "not offensive". Though, if Shakespeare was alive today, he would instantly be barraged by the so-called "feminists" of our generation. Shakespeare did no wrong, he's a legend!

2.) William Shakespeare is a child of the literary revolution. He's like the brain-child of what seems to be the offspring of Revolution, Genius, and Literature (Yes, three.). He contributed so much to the literary world, from his contributions to the 'rhyming' world, to his contributions to the 'Tragic' world. He might seem to be another author who can write words but, no. He's a Genius. A genius that can write words that gives out a meaning that no one could ever imagine writing. He contributed, rather, started a whole new style of writing and started a whole new generation of writers. He sparked a whole new fire inside the writers of his and the next generations.

3.) If Keesh taught me anything it will be like this:"Let them say what they want. Prove them wrong and let them eat their words." Being the persons that we are, we don't want to be treated bad. We want to be treated equally, right? So, Keesh thought me how to be quiet and smart. He taught me how to silence those who are loud but are air-headed. It's better to be silent and deadly than to be loud and arrogant. See, even a small fry can join in the big leagues! Don't let others define who you are. I remember this quote from my 'mate's notebook: "Let your smile change the world. But, don't let the world change your smile."

With that, I bid you a nice evening Ma'am! God bless! :)

  29. 1. Women in Shakespeare’s plays are unique. They have different roles that make them distinct among each other.

Some women have important roles and some have minor. Important women in Shakespeare’s plays have that strong influence that you can feel when you read their parts in the plays, they have a certain aura. Even if the women are not the protagonist in the play somehow the plot of the play revolves around them. Women with minor roles still manage to make the story more sensible. Their presence in the play is important even if they are not one of the main characters. Through their small part in the play they still managed to make their appearance seem so important and vital in the plot of the play.

In my own opinion, every character in Shakespeare’s play is important.

I think Shakespeare doesn’t have an anti-feminist view on women. In the plays it can be seen that women’s roles vary. I think Shakespeare used women in his plays wisely. He made the roles of women distinct that made them extremely special and unique.

    2. The works of William Shakespeare belong to literature. His plays and poetry are known worldwide. They are discussed openly everywhere. His works gave us a view of the old times. He made his works very realistic and creative which is (in my own opinion) the essence of literature. Literature has this power to make us feel attached to it. It takes us to unfamiliar places, gives us different emotions, and sparks new thoughts.

    3. The Story of Keesh taught me to be more determined in reaching my goals in life. I should not be affected by what others say about me, I should ignore the negativity and overcome the challenges that may arise. I should show people that I have something to prove. I should believe in myself and have courage.

  30. 1. Role of women varies in each of Shakespeare’s plays. All of them played important roles. He gave them powerful roles showing how women can sacrifice for the one that they love. But despite these powerful characteristics that they posses, they still have weak points which can lead to the story’s conflicts. And that is the reason why I believe that in some ways, I think that Shakespeare has anti-feminist view towards women.
    2. Shakespeare is truly a gift to the world literature. His works are somehow the building blocks of some literary pieces. Shakespeare’s writings greatly influenced the entire language and also brought inspiration to many other playwrights.
    3. In “The Story of Keesh” we can learned that facing the difficulties in life is important. Patience and determination is the key to success just like what Keesh did when he killed the bear. Keesh didn't kill the bear directly rather, he used his skills to put up a plan. We should be adept in thinking because it will enable us to discover other ways of doing things.

  31. 1.) For me, the roles of the women was to serve the men and stay at their homes. They were only taught that they are weak and cannot do manly things. As i learned from shakespeare's works, he has an anti-feminist side because of the happening of the women on his works. They do not have a happy ending.

2.) It shows the nature and environment around him. It describes what was going on on the time of shakespeare. It also became popular across the globe and opened many eyes and minds to see the true meaning of his works.

3.) The story of keesh actually inspires me. Through this piece of work, it helps me believe in my self and be determined. Don't let others define you because you are the only one that can define yourself. Facing your problems is also a thing because through facing them, you can move on to your life to reach success.

characteristics and personalities.Mainly,Most of them are the main

character and some are supporting characters. Some of the characters

are underestimated and some of them are influence by others.I think

william shakespeare is anti-feminist because each of the female

character have an important role at he shows equal attention for

    each of the character

2.William Shakespeare has a lot of contributions in the World

Literature. He was known as the Bard of Avon and widely regarded as

3.The lessons that can be found in the story of keesh is First is

  33. 1.) No, no one with enough knowledge and understanding should conclude that Shakespeare had an anti-feminist view. Shakespeare’s plays are open and dynamic. Besides, he could never be in anyway an anti-feminist because the word feminist wasn’t even coined yet during his era. His works only reflected the women that surrounded his whole life – and apparently, women back then weren’t given the rights women nowadays have like the choice to marry whoever you want to marry in the case of Juliet. In the case of Lady Macbeth – in order to become a villain, you must be superior and evil; knowing that your gender will not affect your role in anyway. The roles of the women in Shakespeare’s plays were excellent since all of them have contributed to the concept, theme and plot of each story which is the trait that each character must obtain to be recognized as a character.
2.) According to my researches, William Shakespeare greatly contributed in world literature since he and some more authors during his time were the first ones to use phrases or vocabularies to entirely express emotions by writing. He had created, borrowed or adopted words that better express feelings unlike before when writers have a hard time finding the correct words to explain themselves. He is the most quoted English writer in the history yet because he influences and is looked upon by writers that followed after him up until this generation.
3.) (i.) “You should never be greedy because sometime soon, karma will strike at you” and (ii.)“don’t think too much of yourself because someone out there is probably way better than you could ever get”.
    i. When Keesh talked to the people in charge of the village, he asked them to share the extra food they receive and divide the meat they gather to each villager equally, however, they wish only to care for themselves thinking that they have the rights to do whatever they wish to. They laughed at Keesh but afterwards, they felt ashamed because Keesh arrived with meat to be shared equally for everyone including the people in charge of the village.
ii. When Keesh kept coming back with the meat for everyone, the authorities started to spread rumors about him saying that Keesh must be a fraud since he is too young and weak compared to their best hunters, they make it sound to me that it is impossible for a youngster to do such a thing. When Keesh finally told everyone his secret, it was revealed that Keesh does not need the strength, all he needs is his brain.

  34. 1. The role of the women in the plays of William Shakespeare supports every main character yet their role leads to the conflict of the whole story. Well, maybe Shakespeare has that anti-feminist view of women but I think that he is just expressing that every man's weakness is a woman. The main characters love their woman so dearly that it causes trouble for them.

    2. William Shakespeare can be precisely named as the father of English Drama. He has contributed to modern culture and people of our time in many different ways. Shakespeare's works are the foundation of many of the archetypes that are found in modern day literature. His contribution to the World Literature is highly remarkable, and perhaps unmatched.

    3. First lesson is that you should share what you have. Thank God for the blessing you recieve and be a blessing to others. Second lesson is like the saying "Never judge a book by its cover". They didn't believe that Keesh can hunt because of his appearance. He was just a kid yet he has the ability to hunt boars. It is because he didn't use his strength but his wisdom. Third lesson is Keesh stays humble. All of the meat that he hunted, instead of keeping it to himself, he shares it with everybody in the community and he's willing to share the secret to his hunt. Lastly is when Keesh went on his first hunt. When Keesh went on his first hunt, he was mocked the villagers beacause how can a tiny boy hunt a boar, right? Yet the mockery he recieved didn't stop him to go and hunt.

  35. William Shakespeare? anti-feminist? I think not, because based on the play that we discussed, Yes, Juliet (Romeo and Juliet ) killed herself, Lady Macbeth (Macbeth) who became insane and commits suicide, and Desdemona (Othello) who falsely accused of being unfaithful to her husband and killed by him but you can't just say that he is an anti-feminist. Then why Othello was died? Then why Macbeth was died? Then why Romeo was died? Perhaps women in that era has nor power or rights to do what they want to do. They were weak in that day so William Shakespeare thought of that perspective and concept but it's not He, who is feminist. I've got this realization in life that the point of feminism is not to alienate men, but for women to focus on their own concerns and needs, to establish their own values. These may or may not coincide with the already established values of their dominant culture, just as their concerns and needs may or may not fold neatly into a something different. I can assume that William Shakespeare is not an ANTI-FEMINIST.

Shakespeare made many contributions to English Literature and one of the ones that affects us every day is his contribution to the English language. In fact, Shakespeare actually frequently made up his own words, which still live on in the English language today. Shakespeare's writings greatly influenced the entire English language. Prior to and during Shakespeare's time, the grammar and rules of English were not standardized. But once Shakespeare's plays became popular in the late seventeenth and eighteenth century, they helped contribute to the standardization of the English language, with many Shakespearean words and phrases becoming embedded in the English language.

Sometimes people are selfish and someone are selfless. The story of Keesh is just like the five faction from the movie 'Divergent'. ABNEGATION. They always think and care for others and for the sake of all their tribes before their own. DAUNTLESS. They have the bravery in order for them too live and so they can hunt foods. They always protect their tribe. CANDOR. They always trust each other and loyal is still there no matter what. It also the one that unite them. ERUDITE. Keesh is smart to do hunting te bear in which in their case it's so cold in their place and the materials are just limited. AMETHYST. They were all industrious and have the patience to find ways in order for them to live longer.

  36. 1. In my opinion, Shakespeare is not an anti feminist. The way he works is unique and realistic, he portrays how that Era moved and expressed the idea of living. In that time women are overpowered by men or let say that men have a higher authority than women, but it doesn’t mean that he don’t believe in the social or economic or political equality of men and women.

    2. HE INSPIRED, HE INFLUENCED, HE REMARKED. Shakespeare known as a greatest author of the English language because of his down-to-earth and astonishing works. Shakespeare inspired most of the author in his time to wrote a simple yet outstanding poems, epics, stories, and others. He also influenced other people in that Era to expressed their feeling through writing and love the literary works. Because of that, his works remarked around the world .

    3. There are several lessons that be reflected in the Story of Keesh, but the only one message that stays in my mind is to treasure other people’s efforts and sacrifice. Keesh reminds us to keep holding on, no matter what obstacles is limiting you in achieving your dream. He taught me that If it’s not happy it’s not the end.

  37. Based on what I learned this past few months is that Shakespeare usually has only a few women in each play, but I can see is that each of them has important roles and that some of them surpass the roles of the men. I noticed in most of Shakespeare's tragedies that women always bring a great plot about the tragedy, the underestimated women creates a situation wherein the main character will be forced into it or just simply be a challenging part of the tragedy. For me I think that Shakespeare has a small anti-feminist attitude.

Shakespeare has given a lot in the World Literature. For me I think that he gave two or three contributions in the World Literature and that all of thme can be used in our daily lives. He changed the way on how the writers write today because of his style, he added many new words in the English language wherein we can see in most of the plays nowadays, he is the inspiration for making wonderful literature. For me I think that Shakespeare is the world's greatest writer because of what he contributed and that I can hear his name even when i was a just a little boy.

The lessons of life that I can see in the story of Keesh is that "don't judge a book buy its cover" and always remember or appreciate the things that people done unto you. Bok didn't get any admiration on the time he save a lot of starving villages, nowadays people often forgot about the things we do for them, some times they don't care at all. But we should always appreciate for the things that people do to as so that in the next time we needed help is that they won't hesitate to help us again. The quote "don't judge a book buy its cover" is seen in the story because the elders cannot see the hunter Keesh is truly is. In life, we always misjudged poeple buy how they look or live but there something way beyond on what they really is.

  38. William Shakespeare, a great English poet and a play who make stories and sonnets is not an anti-feminist because he knows how to construct the plots and other things in the stories and even their Era has an anti-feminist attitude , he make tragedies and stories that will suits him and let him think that someday women will be treated equally and no one will judge them because of their appearance. All of the women in the stories have their different role and behavior. All of them are like supporting actress in the movie but in the end, they will become the protagonist in the story. I think William Shakespeare is jumbling the plots so that the women will outstand all of the mens and to know how woman's are treated. But he has a small anti-feminist attitude in making his stories because womens are being punished by mens so it makes sense that he has a small part of being like that.

    2. William Shakespeare wrote many stories and sonnets in the Renaissance Era. So everything has changed in his time because he change the whole English Literature from his works and influence many people to believe that they have the potential or talent that is hiding in their souls that is not showned because of shyness and everything else. For me, he contribute many things and many learnings He is a history! He makes our life easier and I idolized him because of his works, easier to understand and has many lessons that will found in each stories.

    3. From the story Keesh, he is a poor man that helps people in his own land by sacrificing his life just to give the needs of his people. There are many lessons that can be relate in real life because of its uniqueness, on how it is writed and constructed by the author. For example is if you are willing to take these challenges, you will succeed in life; Don't judge the book by its cover; and helping others makes us a better person in life.

  39. William Shakespeare, also known as the “Bard of Avon”, has truly given himself worthy of being the greatest English poet in the universe. He is quite famous for his tremendous plays that both of his comedies and tragedies briefly emphasize the roles of the women during the Elizabethan Era. He illustrates woman as a royal character wherein a woman is in a higher position; for instance, Gertrude, a minor character from “The Tragedy of Hamlet” has gained herself royalty. He also states that woman is in fact sharp and is therefore to have more wisdom than any other men as I have noticed from “The Merchant of Venice” that Portia – who is later disguised as Balthazar – has judged the two men very carefully and, with equal knowledge, she has solved both of their problems more or less. Other than that, women such as Desdemona and Juliet have made conflicts between two opposing men (or clans) that give lessons in knowing what is right or wrong.

William Shakespeare is more than just having an anti-feminist view for he is a wise fool; he has never insulted women during his days in which he is very loyal to Queen Elizabeth – her royalty, wisdom, and appreciation. Also, William Shakespeare does not have a taste for chivalry wherein he shows himself an honor of how dignified women are – just as he acknowledges and symbolizes them from his plays. The contributions of William Shakespeare in World Literature is utterly amazing that he has adapted his own way of writing and has come up with such new words like partner and shooting star. One thing that set him apart from other playwrights was the way he would combine all parts of his play so his tragedies would have comic relief and his comedies would have some serious parts. His contributions are of great excellence in which people nowadays have learned several famous quotes that were derived from his plays and have been influenced in knowing some of its great themes.

Mother Nature has always given us a living as well as the needs to survive. However since many humans have often abused nature, its bounty might soon run out. “The Story of Keesh” which is written by Jack London is a great example of a classic in which it shows a great deal of individual effort pitted against both natural and human elements in a way that burns the mind. The fear of the wilderness is the alluring quality – the place in which a man may either make a name for himself or go down fighting for renown. Keesh, the main character from the story, is one of those who succeeded wherein he has determined himself in doing what others couldn't have done and that makes them realize his inspiration – the remembrance of his father. On top of that, the author tries to portray the nature's role in our lives.

Life is indeed a beautiful struggle; in our human relationships, we want others to sacrifice for us, yet it seems very hard to reciprocate. The lesson in life is to work towards environmentally sensitizing people than to force them by law. The opportunity to know nature, to cherish it and feel grateful for it shall offer us a window to look at impending threats and consequently build in us a conscience to solve them. If you gain motivation from others, then you will be who you want to be and do what you want to do despite all the challenges you encounter in your life. Although the impact of natural phenomena can be quite challenging and devastating, you will be living and leading with integrity when you take this kind of thinking to heart. Thus, having a leadership with respect is a moral attribute that few leaders possess in showing inspiration towards the community.

  40. 1. It could be that Shakespeare actually had a feminist view because, if you could read from his manuscripts, he portrayed women as clever enchantresses, not as the weak damsel-in-distress, but it's just that society was anti-feminist back then so the roles imposed on these women were horrible.
    2. Shakespeare had a great impact on world literature in general, seeing that his works affected millions of, not only people, but other literary works as well. His plays are also part of the most played works in theater, and his characters became ideals for other characters, so I think he may have been one of the greatest playwrights who ever lived.
    3. Never underestimate other people for doing things differently as you do. And try to think unconventional ways to do something.

  41. 1. William Shakespeare’s literatures are the most prominent in our society. The most emphasized in his plays and tragedies are women. They are being underestimated directly by discouraging and pulling them down. Based on what I’ve read, I can conclude that Shakespeare is not an anti-feminist. Because if he does, he wouldn’t even come to think of including women as characters. I may say that Shakespeare is a sexist because he does include both men and women as characters. But the thing that made me realize that he is a sexist is because his idea between men and women is not equal. He’s more of men and thinks of a women as a small insect.

    2. William Shakespeare is known to be the most famous poet and writer in English Literature. His works are being used up until now, and will be used for the future. He has carried the whole flow of his works to catch the attention of his readers. He is a truly great writer. The most common themes of his writings are love, tragedies, cliché, chivalry, revenge, and many more.

    3. The story of Keesh is truly an inspiring story. Taking your life at risk to help your brethren is a great example of a brave man. It is a great practice of obeying God’s command of helping others without expecting nothing in return. Just like in the story, Keesh aims to hunt something for the villagers just like his late father.
